Be The Beauty on a Budget: Body Scrub

Our winters in Rochester are always crazy and they are so harsh on your skin.  This winter has been horribly cold and my skin has been even worse than normal.  It is horribly dry and flakey!

I could go to somewhere and spend a lot of money on a body scrub orrrrrr I could just make one myself! I had a friend who made this awesome body scrub/shaving cream with coconut oil and sugar and ever since then I have been obsessed, but I wanted something a little bit more exfoliating and stimulating for my skin.

As we all know coconut oil is the new rage, but honestly, it is such an amazing moisturizer for your skin and it smells delightful! So, I bought a BIG container of coconut oil and I scooped out half the jar and put it in a storage bowl bowl, then i took about 2 or 3 heaping spoonfuls of brown sugar for a exfoliant, and then, heres the kicker, I took about 2 spoonfuls of coffee! Coffee is amazing for cellulite and energizing your skin to where ti looks more youthful! Then to throw in an acid, i put half a lemon.

OMG I am just in LOVE with this body scrub.  I keep it on the ledge of my shower and the first time i used it my skin felt like a babies bottom! One of my favorite things from Lush is Ro's aragon Body conditioner.  I loved it because you use it in the shower an you walk out with your skin feeling so soft and silky that you don't have to put lotion on.  This body scrub will give you the same effect! I don't recommend shaving with this one because of the brown sugar and coffee, you won't get a close shave, but try shaving with straight up coconut oil.  You will love it!

I also started getting so many complements on my skin.  My make up was going on flawless and my skin just looked so bright!
