I usually just write about make up, but I am pretty excited about the little challenge I started to be a part of. So I am going to share it with you!
I have gained a lot of weight over the past 2 years. I lost a lot of weight 2 years ago, then started dating an AWESOME guy, and we started going out to dinner and then we would have drinks and then we would go out with friends and have more food and drinks. I stopped working out because I wanted to fit in all of this drinking and eating, I mean who wouldn't! But now here I am, two years later and 25lbs heavier. Ugh, I just said it, 25lbs heavier!
So, over the past few weeks I have started really taking control of my eating habits and work outs. I work out in the morning before work, awesome! I do meal preps on sunday for lunches and dinner during the week, even more awesome! But, I still haven't lost any weight. I feel like I am so focused on it that I am setting myself up of failure (how does that work?). When I do one thing wrong or maybe not work out hard enough I'm like oh well what the hell I'll RESTART tomorrow! Sooo, I saw a post for the Beach Body 21 Day Fix Challenge and bought it. It sounded like something that I needed to help get on track with losing weight.
Quick run down on this program. It is a nutrition and work out program for 21 days that is designed to help you lose weight. Some participants have lost up to 15lbs!! I am not really looking to see the scale number go down that much, I am more concerned about how my clothes fit. When I lost 25lbs I swear I looked like I lost 40, I never realized it until recently looking back at pictures. I was eating so healthy and working out a lot and doing all the right things. The weight was melting off and I was toning! I want to get back to that point!
Portion control always has been a struggle with me so I am super excited about this program because it comes with containers for you to portion out your food. You figure out how many calories you should be taking in by the equation they give you and then there is a certain amount of containers, for each color, you should eat. Take a look at the link and check it out. I am really not explaining it that well!
There are also 30 min work outs to do each day of the week. There is a chart that tells you what work out to do on each day so you know exactly what you should be doing.
So long story short, I am pretty pumped to see the progress over the next 21 days! I have taken measurement and weighed myself (even though that was scary) so hopefully on July 4th (the end of my 21 days) I will have seen some great progress. I will keep you posted!!!
