Product Review: Maybelline Dream Matte Mouse Foundation

Well a while ago I said  "review to come soon!" Well, this has taken longer then expected.  Sorry about that!

If you read the previous post, I scored Maybelline Dream Matte Mouse foundation for only $4.98 at Ulta during an awesome sale they had going on.  Well I am very oily and always looking for a deal, I ripped this off the shelf! The only thing that I was bummed about is I couldn't  find a perfect match because it was hard to tell the colors inside the jar and there were no testers.  I did pretty well with my choice.  I picked a shade a bit darker then me, but it worked out well since I blended it down my neck and it looked great.

This foundation is super silky! I like mouse foundations, but the ones I have tired prior were super oily on my skin.  This foundation went on very smooth.  I applied it two separate ways, with my beauty blended (Preferred) and with a domed kabuki brush.  The beauty blender made everything go on more smooth and also made the foundation last longer.  The brush application, was nice because I could buff the foundation into my skin, BUT i felt like I used a lot more product, and I don't think i got the same coverage as my beauty blender.

My skin was matte through out the whole work day! I was really shocked at that! I did notice that there was some break down on my face, but it wasn't anything that made me look too blotchy, but i did have to touch up my make up to blend it again, but it was still matte.

So long story short, if you are looking for a medium to full coverage foundation, for oily skin, that will leave you matt for at lease 6 to 8 hours, this is your steal of a deal! This is not a foundation I would use for a special event or if I was planning on getting all glammed up (I can't part wit my Becca Foundation for that), but I keep one in my gym make up bag for more of a every day normal use.
