Being The Beauty!

Welcome to Be The Beauty!  I am so excited to be launching this blog for two reasons.  Reason #1: The Name and reason #2: I consume myself with work and sometimes I need an outlet.  Make up is my outlet and my obsession.  No matter if I am happy, sad, stressed out just plain board, all I want to do is play with my make up.  There are night where I am up until 2am Youtubing make up tutorials. Now, even though I am obsessed with make up, I'm not one of those girls that has boxes and boxes of make up.  I wish I did, but....I don't.


Let me tell you a little bit about the name.  I think this is a great story, but then again, I think all my stories are great, but this one really is.  I own a company called Be The Weapon Management (betheweaponmgmt.com...shameless plug), it's a mixed marital arts management company.  I manage MMA fighters and mostly handle sponsorships and marketing for fighters and now, a few fight promotions in NY.  By doing this, I have met amazing people and have had the most fun "working" then I ever have.  My name on Facebook is Lucin Betheweapon Colakoglu. And no, my middle name is not Bethe Weapon or Beth-e-weapon, Betheweapon is my middle name, because of my company name.  It amazes me how many emails or message I get starting off with "Hello Beth." Cracks me up, but I digress.  One day, I got a message from a Facebook friend and it says "Have a great weekend, Be The Beauty!" Ever since then, I knew, when I started my blog it would be called Be The Beauty! I have always thought about having different divisions of Be The Weapon, so this is a great start to making that happen. 


I do have to say one thing.  Between keeping up with the celebrities, new trends, and even stalking Pinterest, one can become very vain and think that make up is necessary to use to be beautiful. This isn't true.  One of my favorite quotes is "No amount of make up can mask and ugly heart."- Kevyn Aucoin.  Beauty comes from with in.  Always remember that your confidences and personality are the two things that will make your beauty come through.  Make up is just a medium to express your beauty.  It enhances.  With that said, LET'S GET STARTED! 


I plan on posting product reviews, tutorials, lists of my favorite products and answer any beauty questions you may have!  There will be a section called "Be The Beauty on a Budget" and also, "Be The Beauty-Baller Status."  There are so many products out there that are very inexpensive.  Good products don't have to cost a ton of money!  Of course, I do use a lot of products that are in the mid price to high price range, but I am all about saving money and will always find an alternative to someone if I am on a budget.
